The Rev. Dr. John Largen facilitates the community’s worship life at the Gettysburg chapel. He also serves as adjunct professor of formative spirituality, teaching elective courses on both campuses. In addition, Dr. Largen is a liaison to ELCA candidates at non-ELCA divinity schools and seminaries (especially Yale, Harvard, Union NYC, and Princeton) who “affiliate” with ULS; and he coordinates the non-credit degree requirements.
Prior to his current position, Dr. Largen served as a parish pastor in Virginia and Pennsylvania; the Pastor to the Seminary Community for Spiritual Formation at Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary; the chaplain for the transition at Gettysburg Seminary; and ULS’s interim director of contextual formation.
