From My Desk to Yours: Prayerful Meetings

ULS President’s Newsletter | Fall Term 2018-19

Volume I, Issue 14

Dear ULS Community,

Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to host and participate in the September Board of Trustees meeting on the Gettysburg Campus. It was a time of prayerful discussions keeping our mission of unifying, learning, and serving in our hearts and minds.

Currently, I am in Chicago meeting with the presidents of the ELCA seminaries and attending the Fund for Leaders Banquet. The Holy Spirit has been present in all of these activities, and I am grateful to all who have made these events possible.

I will be reporting back in next week’s newsletter about both meetings, and I am eager to share with all of you the results of our discussions.

Almighty and eternal God, give us the humility to work always for the greater good, the courage to discern the proper path to do your will, and always keep before us our call to love you and to love our neighbors in everything we do. All this we pray in the name of your son, our savior Jesus Christ.
