Position Description

Position: Information Technology Systems Support Technician
Primary Location: Philadelphia Campus
Purpose: Provide general technical support for ULS faculty, staff, and students.
Reports to: Co-Director of Information Technology (Philadelphia Campus)
Travel: None

Major Responsibilities

  • Provide general technical support for all computers, printers, software, web sites, and related systems supported by ULS, including Office365 and Canvas; refer problems to other members of the Information Technology team as needed
  • Provide support and setup for a/v equipment used in classes and campus events
  • Install, repair, and maintain computers, printers, and related hardware and software as needed
  • Communicate with other team members and the campus community as appropriate in person, by phone, or by email or text
  • Support the Seminary’s educational mission by interacting with other members of the campus community and our visitors in a professional and cordial manner

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience providing technical support for a variety of products
  • Computer hardware and software troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to learn to use new technology products quickly and with a minimum of guidance
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in writing, by phone, and in person
  • Experience with audio or video production is helpful
  • Prior experience in a higher education setting is helpful
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
