Report from the Board of Trustees

January 27, 2025

The ULS Board of Trustees met virtually on January 27, 2025. There were two open gallery sessions.

_ The Board of Trustees received reports from the President and the President’s Cabinet, including the departments of Academics and Student Life, Continuing Education, Advancement, Strategic Marketing and Communications Finance, and Operations.  

-The board also received reports from Rev. Dr. Javier Goitia representing the ELCA and Rev. Rick Neu representing TULSAA, followed by Allison deForest and Andre Price representing the Faculty, and Mo Goff and Jessica Zurcher representing the students.

-Mr. Fred Risser presented the Resource Development and Financial Management Committee report, the United Lutheran Seminary Endowment Foundation report, and the report of the LTSP Reconstituted Board. Three motions were passed: 1. Approving the transfer of the ULS Endowment to the ELCA Foundation; 2. Authorizing the ULS Administration to investigate the opportunity of an expanded loan agreement with the MIF; 3. Approving the results of the 2023-2024 audit presented by Baker Tilly.

-Mrs. Karen Arnold presented the report of the Executive Committee.

-Bishop Barbara Collins presented the Governance, Infrastructure and Policy Committee report.

-Dr. Tommie Robinson presented the report of the Academic Affairs committee.

-Pastor Ted Cogar presented the report for the Enrollment Services and Student Life Committee.
