United Lutheran Seminary, Gettysburg Campus is within walking distance of the historic town of Gettysburg with art galleries, gift shops, restaurants and many other attractions.

Nestled on 52 acres of historic landscape adjacent to National Park Service property, the Gettysburg campus provides an inspirational and peaceful setting in a modern world for retreats, workshops, meetings, and special events.

We offer spaces for meetings, single or multi-day events, and weddings. In addition to the scenic and historical location, ULS can provide overnight accommodations, assistance with food service, or a visit to the Seminary Ridge Museum and Education center located on our campus.

We have a variety of room sizes and set-ups available to accommodate your single or multi-day meeting or event.

Meeting Room Options Include:

·      Classrooms accommodating 12 – 50 people with flexible setups (fees may apply)

·      Auditorium with a maximum capacity of 100 people, fixed theater seating and complimentary use of the Coffee Shop

·      Conference rooms accommodate 16 – 45 people

·      Lecture room with flexible seating

·      Retreat center with living room, dining room and kitchen

·      Classrooms and conference rooms may offer A/V and conference call capabilities

RETREATS/CONFERENCES

We have a variety of room sizes and set-ups available to accommodate your single or multi-day meeting or event. Classrooms and conference rooms may offer A/V and conference call capabilities. Lodging is available including private apartments, retreat style and traditional dormitory housing.

LODGING
When planning your event, please consider the type of housing that will best suit your group’s needs. Building preferences are not guaranteed but will be honored based on availability. All Seminary lodging is air-conditioned. Linens and towels are provided. All Seminary lodging is equipped with wireless internet. Limited ADA lodging is available.

Seminary Chapel for Weddings

Featuring beautiful architecture and set against the scenic backdrop of Seminary Ridge, the Church of the Abiding Presence provides a stunning setting for your special day.
The historic stained-glass windows, pipe organ, and acoustics are sure to enhance a beautiful ceremony.

The Chapel holds up to 350 people and is ADA accessible. It is heated and air-conditioned ensuring your wedding is perfect any time of year.

Permission to use the chapel is restricted to couples where at least one member fulfills either of the following criteria:

·      Is a member of the Seminary community, e.g., an enrolled student, a present or past member of the faculty or staff, or an alumnus/alumna of the Seminary.

·       Is a member of a congregation whose governing board makes a formal, written request to the Seminary for the hosting of the official act of the congregation to the Seminary chapel.

Refectory

From wedding receptions to birthday parties, showers and memorial/celebrations of life services, the Refectory is the ideal place to gather with family  and friends. .
The Refectory can host up to 120 guests and is great for buffet’s, served meals and cocktail parties.

POLICIES FOR GENERAL USE OF SEMINARY GETTYSBURG CAMPUS

 

•       No Smoking or vaping is allowed in any building on the Seminary Campus.

•       Some events will require a certificate of liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000. If this is necessary, the Events Office will notify you before your reservation is finalized.
        This certificate, along with the fee, must be paid prior to use unless other arrangements have been made.

•       A $50.00 fee will be charged for any lost key or any key not returned.

•       Only certified service animals are permitted in Seminary buildings.

•       Only the spaces reserved for you (other than restrooms) may be used.

•       No glitter or any type of confetti is permitted for decorative or any other use.

•       Any furniture moved has to be returned to its original location. Additional Fees may be charged if damages occur.

•       Any significant messes in any area that you have used, including the bathrooms, must be cleaned up.

•       All lights, ceiling fans, etc. must be turned off.

•       The space is returned to the condition in which it was found.

•       Firearms are not permitted on the Seminary Campus.

•       Alcohol is not permitted unless prior written approval is obtained.

•       In case of Emergency please call 717 339 1326. For life threatening emergencies, call 911.
