REPORT FROM THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
SEPTEMBER 23, 2024
The Board held the meeting on the Gettysburg campus on September 23, 2024. There were two open gallery sessions.
-President R. Guy Erwin presented his report.
- The Board of Trustees received reports from the President and the President’s Cabinet, including the departments of Academics and Student Life, Continuing Education, Advancement, Strategic Marketing and Communications, Finance, and Operations.
-The boarda lso received reports from Rev. Dr. Javier Goitia representing the ELCA and Rev. Rick Neu representing TULSAA, followed by Rev. Dr. Allison deForest and Rev. Dr. Andre Price representing the Faculty, Mo Goff and Jessica Zurcher representing the students, and finally Rev. John Spangler representing the Seminary Ridge Historic Preservation Foundation Museum and Education Center.
-Mr. Bernie Annor presented the Governance, Infrastructure and Policy Committee report.
-Mr. David Russell presented the Resource Development and Financial Management Committee report.
-Mr. Russell also presented the United Lutheran Seminary Endowment Foundation report.
-Mr. Fred Risser presented the report of the LTSP Reconstituted Board.
-Dr. Tommie Robinson presented the report of the Academic Affairs committee. The board approved three motions: First, to accept the post-sabbatical report of Dr. Jon Pahl. Second, to approve a faculty search in Reformation Studies. Third approve a faculty search in Ancient Near Eastern and Hebrew Bible Studies.
-Pastor Ted Cogar presented the report for the Enrollment Services and Student Life Committee.
-Mrs. Karen Arnold presented the report of the Executive Committee.
