Unlocking the Strength of the Divine Feminine
Inspired by the prophets, priestesses, and powerful apostles of
the early church, the 'Reclaiming the Narrative' retreat series
invites women leaders (both rostered and lay leaders) into an
inspiring, restorative learning space to encourage and
empower boldness in our public witness. Through Bible study,
practical learning in leadership and change theory,
and creative embodied activity - that will include martial arts
inspired meditation led by a certified coach/2nd degree Black
Belt Tae Kwon Do instructor and creative writing led by a Poet
Laureate/ordained pastor - we embrace that we are strong in
Jesus and able to use that strength in our ministry.
All activities are fully ability-inclusive and meant to be
celebrations of feminine joy. All activities, group studies and
learning sessions are also optional for those desiring time at
the self-guided "inspiration station" or in personal prayer. All
supplies are provided, meals are included, and this event (as
are all Reclaiming the Narrative retreats) is LGBTQIA+
affirming and BIPOC inclusive.
This meditation and learning retreat is part of the “Reclaiming
the Narrative” series, brave spaces that center the
marginalized and empower survivors of trauma to be keepers
of their own story. A ministry of Lower Susquehanna and
Delaware-Maryland Synods in partnership with Kindling Faith, a
ministry of United Lutheran Seminary.
