The Gospel of John stands apart from the Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark, and Luke) in both style and content. It emphasizes Jesus' divine
nature more explicitly, beginning with the profound theological statement, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God" (John 1:1). John focuses on Jesus' identity as the Son of God through unique "I Am" statements, lengthy discourses,
and symbolic miracles, rather than parables.
