Prior to joining ULS, Angel worked at Drexel University for 26 years where she developed expertise working with Learning Management Systems and other learning technologies, online accessibility, and Instructional Design. During this time, she also earned her Bachelor of Science in Computer Technology and her Master of Science degree in Learning Technologies and Instructional Design at Drexel University. Inspired by her faculty’s heavy workload, which made it difficult to attend faculty development workshops and trainings,  Angelita conducted research that resulted in the development of an e-Learning toolkit that was so successful, she was invited to give a presentation at the regional e-Learning conference in 2019. Prior to that accomplishment, she received special recognition from the International Association of Research on Cancer (IARC) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) for designing an interactive online module that educated targeted high-risk populations about colorectal cancer under the late Dr. Lisa Ulmer’s PCEN grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Angel is the mother of 8 adult children and the grandmother of 15.  She loves her family and enjoys when they spend time together!  She also loves traveling to tropical islands, beautiful sunsets, music, line dancing, karaoke, playing pinochle and Scrabble.  Angel is also an active member of Salt & Light Church.
