Preaching with Power, offered through the Urban Theological Institute (UTI) at United Lutheran Seminary, returns in person this year on the Philadelphia campus and in local churches. Preaching with Power offers sermons and one lecture by six distinguished African American preachers and theologians.
This year, UTI celebrates the 41st year of Preaching with Power. Since its inception, it has presented the finest in African American preaching. Each event is open to the public, but can also be viewed on United Lutheran Seminary’s YouTube channel. Offerings collected in person and online primarily benefit the Rev. Dr. J. Q. Jackson Endowed Scholarship Fund. On Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, an offering will betaken for the Dr. Grover and Irma Wright and the Bishop Ernest C. Morris Scholarship Funds. The Rev. Dr. Quintin Robertson is director of the Urban Theological Institute at ULS.
The list of presenters can be found here.
The full calendar listings, including bios, can be found on our online calendar.
We hope to see you in Philadelphia in March for the 2023 Preaching with Power series.
