The Certificate Program in Christian Ministry is a program of the Urban Theological Institute (UTI) of United Lutheran Seminary. This certificate program is a combination of classes held on the Philadelphia campus and via Zoom. Classes are offered to clergy and church leaders to equip them in the parish and enhance their skills in Bible study, church doctrine, church history, homiletics, and worship. The UTI is dedicated to providing theological education to church leaders that is relevant and upbuilding for the Christian community.
About this program
The program consists of eight classes over two academic years:
Participants who complete the full two-year (two courses each semester) program will receive a certificate in Christian Ministry. Entrance into the program can start in fall or spring.

Schedule and Fees
Each class meets 3 – 3.5 hours, once a week for 12 weeks on Saturday mornings.
The fee per course is $225 plus the cost of textbooks. Classes for the fall semester begin in September, and in February for the spring semester.
